Frequently asked questions

How do I apply?

Simply click the "Apply" Button and fill out the form. Lexstream will review your profile and get back to you to confirm whether it's a good fit.

How long does the review take?

You can typically expect to hear back within 2 business days of submitting your application.

Do I need to submit a course straight away?

No, when applying you only need to indicate your area of expertise and a (working) course title. Once approved, Lexstream will guide you through the steps to create your course.

What happens after my application is approved?

You will receive access to Lexstream's PowerPoint template and guidance materials to start building your course. You then submit your course proposal through the dedicated form.

Can I choose my own topic?

Yes. You're free to propose any topic within the legal domain.

Do I need any video recording equipment?

No. You simply need to fill out the template and Lexstream will take care of the rest.

Will I be credited as the author of the course?

Yes. Instructors are featured on their course pages and recognised as the subject-matter expert behind the content.

How long should a course be?

There's no strict requirements but you'll receive guidance on recommended length and structure once your application is approved.

Will I be compensated for my course?

You will earn a quarterly royalty of 15% of direct net sales of your course, meaning revenues from direct individual sales, after deducting applicable taxes, refunds, marketing and / or distribution fees, and payment processing fees.

Who owns the course content?

You do. Contributors retain full ownership of the intellectual property rights in the content they create. However, by signing the agreement, you grant Lexstream a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, and distribute your content — including processing it with AI-powered software to produce the final course — for the full duration of the agreement. This licence also allows Lexstream to sublicense your content to third parties and partners for distribution and marketing purposes, and to use your name and image in connection with promoting the course.
